For the latest information about assessment in KS1, here is the KS1 SATs parents’ meeting. It will explain the new system for assessment with the new curriculum, and how that information will be reported to parents.
At Bradshaw Hall, the children are active participants in an exciting, rigorous school curriculum. Lessons are built around exciting contexts and activities, with children encouraged to take ownership of their own learning. Also, teachers make active use of assessment to ensure that learning is well matched to the individual needs of the children. The children enjoy a safe, secure and nurturing environment which enables them to flourish personally as well as making excellent academic progress. We cover all areas of the Primary National Curriculum whilst ensuring that we meet the individual needs of all of our learners. The school aim to work in close partnership with parents and carers as the children move through the school. We encourage an open dialogue between parents and staff, with the school trialling the use of social media to improve this flow of information.
